10 Followers! :D

Wow! This is, like, amazing! 10 Followers...we're in double digits people!

All I can say is thank you so much. And try to keep up with me in the sure to happen long intervals in which I won't post because of school, etc. And...what else? Well you obviously have a good taste in blogs. XD Or not. Guess that's up to you.

Oh and thank you to the people who've stayed with me since pretty much the beginning and COMMENTED! :D Did I mention I love long comments? Yeah.

And for all you people with 50+ followers out there going "Pssh. 10. What's so special about THAT?" You are ruining a perfectly happy moment here. 10 is an awesome number in my book.

Snow Day = Randomness

You read right. Today is a snow day. Which means no school. Which means I have the perfect opportunity  to create a blog post out of pure randomnesss.

So today's post is on housing glitches. AKA: catwalks. Don't ask why I call them that; I just came up with the name one day and it just stuck.

As I have progressed through the game, I have had the oppurtunity to see many of these "catwalks," and wonder at the amazing architectural planning and design. How do they DO that? I have always wondered, because besides a few floating envelopes, I just can seem to make it work for me.

Fortunately, thanks to the magic of YouTube tutorial videos, I have managed to start a catwalk on my own. But it's nowhere near as good as the ones I'm about to show you.

Now, some of these pictures have been taken maybe about a year ago, so I don't remember exactly where they're from. But I think they're pretty darn good.

First, we start with the standard floating envelopes. Not technically a catwalk in my book (Normally they involve rugs) but still pretty cool. And hopelessly addictive when you're trying to reach the top.

This was in a storm house somewhere. Or more accurately, outside the storm house. Between not being able to breathe and constantly followed by sharks, it was probably the most fun I had that day.

Yes, this is a Myth house. No, no editing was done on this picture. I stink at editing anyway.

This is probably the highest I've ever been above a house.

This went so far away from the house that everything looks black. And the floating crystal ball table thing adds to the eerie effect. This has to be one of my favorites.
I love this because you can see practically the whole layout of the house from here. It speaks for itself...just, wow. Beautiful bit of architecture right there.

Ok I think that's it for catwalks. But before we go, I'd like to show you what the new high jump update looks like in freeze frame.

Me straining to look out of the too-high window of my new life house.

And now my sister tries it out. Not a very flattering shape.

Again, I'm feeling weirdly random today. Don't judge.

Anylizing the Errors in TToSS

And boy, are there a ton! I mean, I'm practically punching myself in the face right now for having sent them in like that. I caught a few of them earlier on, but it took reading through my entire story to find a whole lot that I missed.

Brace yourself for an onslaught of bad spelling, typos, and things that were never changed but should have been.

1. The first error is actually in the VERY FIRST SENTENCE! :O When it says "three younger sisters," it's supposed to say "three younger SIBLINGS." I have two younger sisters and one younger brother. Samuel is not a sister. Good, we're clear on that.
Note: I caught this earlier on, so I changed it before putting it up here.

2. This is in Part 1, just before we all go to sleep after the first day. When it says, "My head was swimming as I went to sleep," and the stuff after that, I didn't punctuate between "Ambrose," and "Magic," so it looks like "Ambrose Magic." Weird, but funny. XD

3. In part two, when I'm about to learn legend shield Professor Wu calls up myself and a girl named Catherine Fairycrown. It's supposed to be FairyBLOSSOM. Fairycrown was her original name, but I guess I forgot to change it when I decided against it. Oops.

4. This one I also fixed before I put it up. Pretty much the same as number three. When Chris introduces himself to Nolan in part 2, he says his name is Chris Willowleaf. He wasn't lying; that was going to be his name originally. But then, oops, I realized that was the last name of Sierra Winterbreeze's younger sister. So I changed it to Willowcrafter...all except that one, apparently.

5. The next one is kind of spread out throughout the whole series, and it's about Catherine's sister. In Part 4, I said her name was Madison. But in part 5, I must have COMPLETELY forgotten about that and changed it to Meghan. I sent both parts in before I noticed. And I was working on part 8 when, all of a sudden, I caught it. And I was like, "OMIGOSH! Catherine's sister has two names! What am I going to do?" That's when I came up with the brilliant (if I do say so myself) cover-up of Catherine having TWO sisters, Madison and Meghan. It didn't work entirely, I mean it is a bit sketchy leading up to it. But it was probably the best I could do at the time being.

6. SPOILER FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T READ UP TO PART 8! Part 8, somewhere in the big fight scene between Marcus and myself, I said his name was Nolan. UGH I meant to say Marcus! Just for the record, Chris/Marcus does NOT have a triple identity. Lord knows how confusing THAT would be. Nope, Nolan is completely himself.

I know what you're thinking: Is the term "proofreading" completely lost on me? Unfortunately, yes. I hate proofreading. It just makes going through it painfully slow. You guys can yell at me all you want, but yeah, it's the truth.

Anyways, there are probably a LOT more besides these, so anyone who feels the need to pick apart my stories, or if you've already spotted something while reading, feel free to do so with a comment.

Regarding the Continued Absence of Creative Writing

more stories to come...stay tuned!

...says KI exactly 6 months ago.

You heard me right. Six. Months.

Up until now I came up with reasons for the absence of the fanfiction. That they were too busy with Celestia. That they were coming up with *cough cough* new featured authors...maybe..? (What? There's nothing wrong with dreaming.)

WELL...Celestia's been live for months. And it wouldn't take them six months just to redo a few things in the CW section. Plus, every time I look up there I see new fan art, new photos. WHY no fan fiction? Hmm?

It's 2011. One thing I was really anticipating with the new year was the return of the CW. I mean, now would be as good a time to do it as any. Probably better; you know, the new year, new stories...yada yada...

One of the simple pleasures of being a fanfiction writer is seeing your work published. Just kind of gives you an excuse to be proud of your work, like really proud, and know that other people out there are reading it. Maybe even liking it. Is it just me who feels this way? Maybe.

The point is that the last 6 months have been soooo frustrating. Maybe a month after the last thing was posted, I eagerly started checking every day. Now it's more like half-heartedly evey week, just out of routine. This has even caused me to fall behind on my story. I've kind of...lost hope maybe? I don't know.

I just really wish they'd hurry up. I've sent them 2 stories and 2 emails of...complaint in a nice, polite way. No reply. :(

So what I'm trying to say is...KI, PLEASE get the creative writing posted! (See?! You've reduced me to begging!) And if that's not possible, I'd at least like to know what's keeping you.

....... -_-

*awkwardish slince*

Sorry you had to hear that, everyone. It's just been...hard to keep up with a story that's not likely to be published anytime soon. Hopefully this is the last time you'll have to put up with me (What would Alex Stormrider call it..? XD) ranting on about something.

Baiz...

My Sister Really Wants to Put Something Up Here, So...

Oh whatever. It's the 20th post anyway. I think I should put up something special for you guys.

For anyone who doesn't know, Savannah Swiftsong is my younger sister, who us also the closest to me in age. In the game, she is a level twenty six thamaturge. She also has a story up on the creative writing section, which, besides the fact that she hasn't updated in forever, us actually very good.

So here she is. I'll let her do the writing now.

Hiya, I am Savannah Swiftsong. I do have a story on fan fiction, but I haven't continued it in like, forever. I think Sarah is wrong about my level because I have been pining to wear level twenty-five level clothes, so I'm actually a level twenty-four. I'm still getting over the shock of Sarah having a blog, because my parents are not the type to let you frolic away, doing as you please on the Internet. Hopefully I can get one too. :D The reason I haven't played Wizard101 in a while is because we have a Wii and I just got a new game for it. I've just begun to play again. Thanks Sarah for letting me post!

So yeah, that's her. (Haha...sorry I got her level wrong...) Her story's called the Tale of Savannah Swiftsong, which I'll probably post here sometime. Until then, part one can be found in the august 2009 section of creative writing, and part 2 can be found in September 2009. They're awesome, so go ahead and check them out!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

I hope all of you had a very happy holiday so far! I know I did. And here's how mine went!

Favorite Present:
Gosh, that's hard to say. Maybe either a new electric guitar or a replica of the necklace Hermione Granger wore in HP4.

Least Favorite Present:
Um...my parents installed this thing on my laptop that causes it to shut down after you've played an hour. But that really can't be called a present.

Most Unfair Present Recieved By Another Sibling:
I had to have this topic, mostly because I still can't figure out why my sister Sadie, who is 5 years younger than me got a Nitendo DS, something my sister Savannah and I have been denied for years.

I Ended Up Waking Up At:
5:00 in the morning, but with three younger siblings and two pets, I don't really have a choice in the matter.

Number of Relatives Now Staying at Our House
3: My grandparents and my aunt. And the six of us. It's a tight fit.

Grand Total of Wii Games Recieved
Wait for it...7. I think.

Time at Which We Ate "Dinner"
2:00. We had ham and potatoes and other vegetables and bread.

Did I Eat Anything Else Today Besides at Dinner?
Yes. Cookies. And a Yule log shaped chocolate cake. That was yummy.

What Samuel is Doing Right Now
He is throwing a temper tantrum because Sadie touched one of his presents.

Portion of the Day Spent Playing New Wii Games
Basically whenever we weren't eating or unwrapping our presents.

Portion of the Day Spent playing Wizard101
None of it. Which is why I don't have a holiday themed picture to share with you all. Sorry.

Current State of the Weather:
Snow, snow and SNOW! :D

Best Part of the Day
Um, maybe...PRESENTS?

Worst Part of the Day
Samuel throwing a temper tantrum because Sadie touched one of his presents. He's in his room now.

What Did I Give Everyone for Christmas?
For Savannah. I got the Manga version of Maximum Ride. I got Sadie a cute graphic T-shirt. For Samuel I got a Nerf gun. And I'm already regretting it.

Completely Irrelevant...How's ODAD Coming?
I finished Part 2! :D

And...oh yeah. Most Annoying Present of All Time
Samuel's Zhu Zhu pet. It's driving me insane.

So how did y'alls Christmas go? Post a comment! (If you like.)

FANTASTICAL NEWS

So fantastical that it can only be expressed in pictures.

Wow that was short. =D
