In Which I Return from the Dead

Well, I'm not sure if anyone out there is reading this. If no one is, I don't blame them in the slightest. To say I was inactive would be a bit of an underestimate, I think. Because I was gone for *ahem* quite a while. Okay so maybe possibly a year or so.....

So there's good news, and bad news. I'll start with the bad.

I'm very, very sorry you guys, but I did not come to resolve to blog more often and keep you promptly updated. I do apologize profusely for vanishing without explanation, but in case you haven't figured it out by now, I can't keep blogging anymore.

The reason I pulled out of it was primarily loss of incentive, and the murder—I mean *cough* "update" of the creative writing section. KI wasn't responding to my emails anymore, however many times I tried to get Part 10 of TToSS sent in. Nowadays all the Creative Writing section is is poorly written, essay-style paragraphs on people's favorite school and things. Real fiction has long since been extinct.

And then of course, I couldn't find time to post anymore, couldn't find anything to post about, hit a roadblock on my story, and things just all spiraled downhill. In a nutshell.

So, with that said, I'm officially discontinuing posting until possible further notice.

But the good news is that I said nothing about quitting my story.

In fact, quite the opposite. I recently revisited the plot line of ODAD, and was hit by a wave of reminiscence. I couldn't just give up on this plot line, I thought, not while it was so strongly developed. So, with spring break underway, I'm going to see what I can do about it. I'll look over my draft, see what can be revised, and hopefully get something accomplished. What I plan to do is hopefully, in time, get ODAD finished already, and then I have another idea in the back of my mind, sort of a sequel to TToSS. But first, I need to finish what I started. :)

I'll still leave this blog up, just so I have somewhere to post the next few parts. And who knows—maybe a Fanfiction.net account isn't out of the question. Only time will tell.

If you want to email me with questions, to scold me, to make friends, to nag me to get a move on already, or just to chat, contact me at s.spiritheart@gmail.com. I'll still be hanging out, and communicate with anyone who wants. Don't think I've gone completely. ;) I also occasionally pop online to play W101 the game, so if live chat and gameplay and conversing whilst battling monsters is more your thing, let me know!

So I guess that's all for now. See ya in the spiral! And a very happy Eaater!

  1. Welcome back-ish! :D And I totally agree about W101's fanfiction section - it used to be great, now people just write a few sentences about their opinion on a simple "what's your favorite ___" question. I mean...really?

  2. Yeah, it's not the best thing. :/ I feel like I should try asking them what's up and why nothing good is being posted anymore (with much nicer diction, of course), but I've probably pestered them about my story enough.

Also—completely random happenstance—I just looked at my blog stats for the first time in ages and discovered this is my 50th post. What an exit point! If I had to stop posting, I'm glad I at least reached post 50. :)

  3. Ah, a comeback of sorts, but at least you're not ceasing to exist!! :( That'd be sad!!

Ugh, the fan-fic section. A long rant is needed for that >.<

    Happy 50th!! :) Keep writing!
