In Which, for Entirely Selfish Reasons, Savannah and I Do Fan Art

In other words: I come back with a bang. Hey guys!

So what are these selfish reasons, you may ask? One word: contest. But not just ANY contest. The first ever fan art/fiction/video/song contest by Sierra Winterbreeze! (If you haven't heard of it, I suggest you check out her blog and get started. The deadline is supposedly Feburary 1st, people!)

So basically, Savannah and I were more than happy to test our skills in this glorious event. And this was the easiest way to post our entries. So Sierra, here they are. The rest of you are welcome to take a look too.

First, here is Savannah's picture. And if I do say so myself, it is excellent.

*Sigh,* she's so artistic. Unfortunately, she wanted to edit it, but she was taking too long. So Sierra, I may have to send you her other version.

Anyway, these next few are mine. Yes, I did say FEW. Because, as you can probably recall from a certain incendent involving an English teacher, a page limit, and a short story prompt, I tend to overdo things.

So I did a drawing for each seeker, with their spiral guardian behind them. (By the way, Sierra, it's okay to treat them all as one entry. I don't want any edges...let's just say that I drew them too big to fit on one paper for your convenience.) Sorry; you may have to tilt you head, but that was only because I could figure out how to rotate them. Plus, the lighting and quality are bad, but let's kindly ignore that.

First, the valiant leader of the Seekers, Sierra.

Next we have Sydney. (This one just MIGHT be my favorite.)

Savanna hand I had a little trouble with Victoria, since neither of us knew what she looked like. Well, actually, that's true for all the Seekers except Sydney, Sierra, and Rowan. But I think it ended up turning out okay.

Liam and Vanessa, the only ones out of the bunch who don't look remotely happy. Party poopers.

It is Halloween (and also somewhere around my one year blogiversery.) Therefore I will post.

Happy Halloween! Dance, sing, be merry...oops! Wrong holiday! Eat candy! Yeah...eat candy.

Expect a longer post soon, especially since I've experienced a TON of glitches and bloopers since we last met.

TTOSS plus awesome new Manga App equals...stalling.

It all started with my friend, who I will call by her wizard name, Samantha Spiritstone. She showed me this awesome iPod app on which you can design your very own manga characters.

Me: "Omigosh this is sooooo aaawesomeee..."

Samantha: "Um...can I have my iPod back now..?"

Needless to say I loved it. I thought it was awesome, and that it might come in handy for designing characters of my story.

Including...my wizard101 fanfic! :D

So I got the app the day after and spent the first hour designing my characters. So I hope you enjoy the products of my hard work, first, of course, being yours truly. ;)

If you're wondering about the wings, I have the seraph wings mount and they looked cool. But isn't this just the coolest thing ever?

So cool, in fact, that Savannah just had to have a go...

Savannah: "Omigosh this is sooo aaawesomeee..."

Me: "-.- ..."

She made her character too though, and as she is in Marleybone right now, it worked out great!

She also made Sadie, and a bunch of other people that spammed up my gallery and made me glad that Sadie at least doesn't know about the app...yet...

Once Savannah had her fun, I went and made Sylvia from ODAD.

Oh, I forgot to mention, the app only lets you make girls, so we couldn't make Samuel or Cyrus or Mal. And YES I KNOW Sylvia has brown hair and glasses. But I wrote the story before I completed Dragonspyre, okay? And since I completely screwed up that one, I decided to just go with what I imagined in the first place.

And finally, since I didn't have many other options, I decided to go with Professor Serevina.

Before you point out that our fellow theurgists Sarah, Sylvia, and Lorraine are all wearing the same skirt, the app didn't offer much to work with in terms of green skirts, to be honest. I just had to work with what I had.

I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did! It was a fun way for me to vent out the need to visually express my story, since I'm really not that talented of an artist. It was so fun, I'll even take requests if you want! Yeah, probably not likely, but still...

I just hit level 60 a few days ago! And I tried out the Waterworks and everything!

Just thought I'd tell you. I wish I could show you pictures, but the only thing I actually got from the Waterworks were a pair of shoes. And I don't have any pictures. Sorry. :(

Needless to say I'm very happy. And I'll doubtless be running the Waterworks a few more times.

Still, I am a bit worried that I'll be a bit bored playing with a character that's already gone as far as she can go. So that's why I've decided to create an ENTIRELY NEW CHARACTER!

I know. Shocker. :P

Anyways, she's a Myth Wizard because even though it's my second school, I dont really know about any of the other spells they have and I'm curious as to what minions they can summon and such. Her name is Scarlet StoryWeaver (Appropriate? I'd say. :) ). And thanks to my exploits on Wizblox (Oh boy, Wizblox...much more on that later, I promise.), she's pretty much as decked out as a novice wizard can get.

Again, I wish I had pictures...but I dont.

And as for the story...

...um...

I hate to say it, guys, but I recently looked at it and didn't like where it was going at all. (Has that ever happened to you? Don't you hate it?) So, again, I hate to tell you, but...

Now before you go and get mad at me, I was just about to get to the good part. I've pretty much more than made up for this, and I'm more than halfway done now. I should (emphasis on should) be done with the written part soon. Ish.

Now I'm going to ATTEMPT to work on my story, which will probably result in leaving five minutes into the attempt and going straight to the Wii to play Super Smash Bros Brawl (We rented it today to try it out and it is HIGHLY ADDICTIVE.) and later join one of my dad's spontaneous karaoke parties.

Glitches, Witches, and...um...I can't think of another rhyme...

...not one that would portain to the subject, anyway.

Now, it's time for glitches of the day!

Yes, that one was actually an accident, whether or not you believe me. And no, I'm not going to do this whole thing in rhyme. That would be cheesy, not to mention bad for my reputation. Maybe.

This first one was actually found by my sister, Savannah SwiftSong. As she tells it, she's mindlessly wandering around the Commons one day when suddenly, she sees...

Not something you see every day, am I right?

So, naturally, Savannah did the only sensible thing. She befriends him and teleports to him at the first oppurtunity.

Isn't that SO COOL? Kudos to Savannah for finding that one! :)

The next one concerns my friend, Samantha Spiritstone. She's the only person who plays W101 that I know IRL. Anyways, she deleted her account (or so she thought) at one point because she didn't want to play anymore, but then she decided a few weeks later that that was a mistake. And lo and behold, she HADN'T deleted her account after all, but just her most powerful character!

That wasn't the glitch though. When we met up the next day to re-add each other to our friends lists, she couldn't see me at all. Just my chat bubbles.

This picture is from my computer, so you can't see anything wrong with it; sadly, she didn't take any picturs from hers before we went to battle Wormguts and suddenly she could see me again! Yay!

In other irrelevent news, I sent in Part 10 again to the Fan Fiction section a few days ago, just in case they weren't accepting stories the last time. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will make it up soon.

And...OH...MY...GOSH...

HARRY POTTER

I just saw it last Sunday (completely decked out in HP garb, I may add), and it was INCREDIBLE. Probably my favorite out of all the parts! Oh, it was just AMAZING!

...the dragon..!

...the epic battle that took up half the movie..!

...um um um um um ummmmm....

...can't go on...movie...too...epic...

Sadly, I can't go any farther. That kind of movie is too awesome to be able to be described any further.

Fortunately, my friend, Alex Stormrider, has also seen it. And also fortunately, she has a much better way with words than I do. She even took up the liberty of dedicating a whole post to it, and she did a very good job with it. So if you want an actual explination of the movie, go here.

Can It Be?

Okay, this post is pretty much overdue. Especially in my case, when I posted a huge rant about the issue a few months ago (Again, sorry, folks.).

So just to give it a little dramatic effect, I'll say the reason for that was because...oh...I don't know..."When I saw it at first, I couldn't believe my own eyes. I thought it was a mere illusion...too good to be true. It was only after I came back to see it several times...that I knew for sure." (Say between sobs for maximum effect.)

The Wizard 101 Creative Writing Section...has returned!!!

*Cue Halleighluia Chorus* (What? After all, it's been a year...)

YesyyesyesyesYES!!! THANK YOU KI!! It's finally here!

Of course, they've only put up 4 new stories as of now, but they did say more would be added! In fact, several each week! I can't wait to see what people have written during this year...and of course, to see my name in print again. ;) Okay, I'm self centered.

And in another awesomeful piece of news, Part 3 IS...

...okay, NOT quite done yet. But SO VERY CLOSE. (Of course after it's done I'm gonna have to actually type it, but that's not the point.) I admit, I was slacking off quite a bit. But now I'm proud to say that my hiatus is officially over, and for several reasons.

The miraculous return of the Creative Writing section.

The fact that I'm pretty much done with the boring, uneventful passage that just HAD to be written. (Sorry.)

The fact that I've just had a HUGE burst of inspiration (I love when that happens to me.) for Part 4 which I will reveal later! :D

Wow. The long awaited fan fiction section returned after a full year off AND I got over my bad habit of procrastination enough to work on my story for a full day. I guess miracles never cease. ;)

Well...hello again everybody...

Long time no see, huh?

Okay, now before any of you says something like, "But you PROMISED you'd be back!!!" I want to just say that...

Okay, you know what? Yes. I broke my promise. BUT...I actually have some pretty good excuses this time. And most of it didn't just happen because of my abysmal time management skills. (Some...not most.)

If any of you out there reading this are around the same age I am (not saying how old though), then you'll know that this time of year is especially busy. But hey, I don't want to turn this into another, "I'm sorry so please pity me," post. So I'll just cut right to all of the updates and news I have to give.

W101 NEWS (Because apparently even though I've been busy I still have enough time to play w101 and not post...?):

For starters, I am no longer crownless! I just bought a whole bunch of crowns and with them, I was able to get through Stormriven and into the Science Center. I have leveled all the way to 59 AND found time to learn forest lord (the chewbaca spell) along the way! I also have been inside a Sultan's Palace (awesomesaucefullness), got a new pet jellyfish named Miss Sammy, and discovered the wonders of the Moon School as an official polymorpher.

Wow...I accomplished a lot for someone who has been too busy to even find time to post... O.o

Okay, now we get to the real news.

IRL NEWS...in chronological order!:

First...I was in a play. Yes, another play. It was for my school, though, so it was different. And I had *ahem* maybe, quite possibly, one of the main roles this time. :)

Then, on May 27th...wait for it...it was my BIRTHDAY!!!

Okay, I was actually planning to post on my birthday. But then my friends went and threw me a surprise party that kinda took up the whole day. So...sorry about that. I got lots of cool presents though. Like a new iPad, which I'm using now to type this up! AND I get to go to England next year in the spring, which will be my first trip overseas!!

The one bad thing about my birthday was that it was on final exam week (Who wants to take a math exam on their birthday?). We had five, one a day. So it was English, Spanish, Geography, Physical Science, and Math. Bleh, not fun. I did well, though, so no worries.

Right after exams were closing ceremonies for my class. And I was one of the 2 people who actually had to give a speech to the whole grade, which I think had something to do with me having one of the highest grade averages or something. I had less than a week to write it, prepare it, and practice it. But it ended up turning out okay.

And after that we went straight to Florida on a two week vacation with little to no Internet connection. Oh, and if they're any Harry Potter fans out there, we got to visit the Harry Potter theme park in Universal Studios! It was TOTALLY AWESOME! :D Only it could've been a lot bigger. Even so, it's Harry, so I'm happy. By the way, you haven't lived until you've tried butterbeer. Just so you know.

So that's a brief summary of what I've been up to the past 2 months. I've actually started up part 3 again, so that may or may not be coming soonish. I'll see what I can do.
